Description
Bitumen is a solid homogeneous building material produced in briquettes. It is produced on the basis of a composition obtained by processing. petroleum products with the addition of special components.
Intended purpose
It is intended for waterproofing of construction objects, structures and pipelines affected by precipitation, soil water and aggressive media. Before application it is heated to a viscous semi-liquid state. Petroleum bitumen has universal characteristics. It is easy to soften, which helps to save consumables: already at 70 °C the required viscosity is obtained.
Properties
The product adheres well to metal, wood, brick and concrete. When applied, it penetrates into all pores. The resulting coating is waterproof and frost resistant. It is characterized by durability, reliability, corrosion resistance and resistance to alkali, salt and acid solutions.
Application
Waterproofing of pipelines and tunnels, mines and bridges;
construction of new roofs and reconstruction of roofs in operation; insulation of floors, joints and wall junctions;
protection of foundations and basement walls;
external waterproofing of structures made of concrete, reinforced concrete, steel, lumber, brick.
The material is also used for the production of primers and primers, mastics and hydrostekloizols, as well as flexible shingles.
