Tectyl 558 AMC is a solvent-diluted, slightly thixotropic wax-based anticorrosion compound with good water displacing properties. It was originally designed to protect sealed boxes, seams, joints, and other corrosion-sensitive areas in automobiles where cracks may form. It is recommended as a primer coat for underbody protection with Tectyl 120 or Tectyl 120H. After curing it forms a semi-solid, wax-like, slightly sticky, translucent film of amber-yellow color.
