HEAVY DUTY TOTAL DRIVELINE OILS
Valvoline Heavy Duty TDL or Total Driveline Lubricants represent Valvoline’s full synthetic heavy-duty gear oil for trucks and buses.
This HD lubricant is suitable for both conventional and modern heavy-duty gear gearboxes and differentials operating under the toughest conditions.
Valvoline TDL is a high-quality automotive heavy-duty grease engineered to achieve optimal performance in a very wide range of HD applications.
Valvoline Heavy Duty TDL matches and exceeds the requirements of the leading automotive manufacturers.
For more details on compatible performance qualities of Valvoline Heavy Duty TDL, please refer to the Performance level section at the top of the Product Information Sheets available on the links below.
As a heavy-duty total driveline lubricant, Valvoline HD TDL oils provide easier shifting at low temperatures and effective protection against target part deterioration under the most demanding working conditions.
Valvoline Heavy Duty TDL is built from premium synthetic base oils and a balanced system of additives elevating the breakdown resistance even with extended drains.
The additives deposit build-up in the gearbox and differential and prevent corrosion, oxidation, and foaming from hindering their condition and functioning.
Valvoline Heavy Duty TDL is recommended for gearboxes, transfer boxes, and differentials with GL-4 and/or GL-5 specifications.
There are two types of heavy-duty Total Driveline Lubricants:
Heavy Duty TDL PRO GL-4/5 is designed for professional use. It ensures the performance of the highest level and at the same time protects the modern, in-warranty, trucks and buses.
Conventional Heavy Duty TDL is recommended for application in multi-vehicle/multi-brand operations when trucks or buses have run out of warranty and no longer require an officially approved (and more expensive) TDL oil.
Both HD TDL fluids are not suitable for limited slip applications.
